Window Film Manifestations

TechFitUK can supply and install a wide range of Glass Manifestation Designs for glass partitions, windows and shopfronts.

Glass Manifestation is usually the term used for frosted window films applied onto glass to obscure the vision and/or to prevent people from walking into the glass. However, glass manifestation can take many forms from opaque window film through to coloured window films and digitally printed window films.

We stock a wide range of glass manifestation material. As well as our own brand of manifestation that is manufactured especially for our company, we also stock a wide range of materials from 3M Frosted and Dusted Crystal, Mactac frosted and etched materials and other from Avery, Spandex and LG. Whatever your requirement, we will be able to source the best material for your project.

Manifestation Legislation

Health and safety legislation stipulates that all commercial buildings with full-height glass must have some form of manifestation on the glass for public and employees’ safety.

The Building Regulations 2000: Part M states that glass entrance doors and glass screens will satisfy requirement M1 or M2 if:

a) They are clearly defined with glass manifestation on the glass at two levels; between 850mm and 1000mm and between 1400mm and 1600mm above the floor, contrasting visually with the background seen through the glass (both inside and out) in all lighting conditions.

b) Manifestation takes the form of logo or sign at least 150mm high (repeated if on a glazed screen), or a decorative feature such as broken lines or continuous bands, at least 50mm high.

From standard frosted squares, circles and bands to company logos TechFitUK can assist you from choose the correct type of manifestation from the design stage right through to installation.
